OUTSTANDING DIETETICS STUDENT AWARD

Each year, the American Dietetic Association, through its state affiliates, recognizes students from each type of dietetics programs for their excellent academic standing and performance in supervised practice settings.  In the last few years, several University of Connecticut Dietetic Interns have been selected by the Connecticut Dietetic Association as the Outstanding Student From a Dietetic Internship – Connecticut.

ALUMNI NEWS:

• Class of 2003:  Julie Creighton has been elected as Chair-Elect of the Council on Professional Issues for the Connecticut Dietetic Association for 2007-08.
• Class of 2004:  Kelly Keyes is serving her term as the President of the Alaska Dietetic Association for 2007-08.
• Class of 2005:  Candace Jones is a PhD student in Health Promotion at the University of Cincinnati.
