Prerequisite Courses, Dietetics Program

In order to apply to the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, a minimum of 60 semester credit hours is normally required including (UConn course numbers in parentheses):
  • Fundamentals of Nutrition (NUSC 165)
  • General Chemistry (2 semesters: CHEM 124Q & 125Q or CHEM 127Q & 128Q)
  • Organic Chemistry (CHEM 141 or CHEM 243 & 244)
  • Biochemistry (MCB 203)
  • Anatomy and Physiology (8 credits) (PNB 264 & 265)
  • English Composition (ENGL 110 or 111)
  • Sociology (SOCI 107)
  • Statistics (STAT 100QC or 110QC)
