Results for National Certification Examinations

The certification examination for graduates from the MLS Program is the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) examination offered by the Board of Certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology).

                The pass rate for graduates who have taken the exam within one year following graduation are:

                 Class of 2013                      100% (National pass rate was 85%)
                 Class of 2014                        93% (National pass rate was 86%)
                 Class of 2015                      100% (National pass rate was 78%)

Placement Success Rates

The rate of graduates who found employment (in either the MLS field or a closely related field) and/or continued their education within six months of graduation are:

                Class of 2014                      100% (14 of 14 found employment, all in Connecticut)
                Class of 2015                      100% (13 of 15 found employment in Connecticut, 1 in Massachusetts
                                                                        and 1 started full-time graduate education)
                Class of 2016                      100% (13 of 14 found employment in Connecticut and 1 of 14 in
                                                                        New Hampshire)
